Aber Falls Madeira Cask tells a distinctly Welsh single malt story. Aber Falls Distillery is described as the first whisky distillery in North Wales in more than a century, and this whisky is made with 100% Welsh barley and regional spring water.
The Madeira cask finish is the detail that gives this release its extra depth. It adds another layer to the whisky while keeping the original single malt character intact. At Drankenshop Broekmans, we value whiskies like this because they show how origin and cask influence can work together without turning the product into a simple cask showcase.
Bottled at 47%, it has enough strength to carry its fruity and spiced profile, with a gentle wood presence in support.

Aber Falls Sherry Cask gives a clear sense of what a Welsh single malt can bring to the glass. It is produced in Abergwyngregyn in North Wales, using 100% Welsh barley, so its sense of origin is part of the whisky's identity rather than a side detail.
The maturation in carefully selected sherry casks adds depth and roundness, while the distillery character remains present. That is the key to this release: the cask influence gives shape and richness, without taking complete control of the whisky.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this sits well among single malts for drinkers looking for an expressive, fruit-and-spice driven style with the added presence of 47% alcohol. It is a whisky with structure, made for unhurried tasting rather than quick impressions.

Aber Falls Sherry Malt is a Welsh single malt whisky shaped by sherry maturation. It is not presented as a heavily peated or coastal style; its focus lies more in a floral and spiced direction, with fruit and wood playing supporting roles.
The Welsh origin gives it an appealing point of difference within the single malt category. At Drankenshop Broekmans, it sits well among whiskies for drinkers who enjoy exploring beyond the most familiar regions, while still looking for a clear and approachable style.
Bottled at 40%, Aber Falls Sherry Malt does not carry an age statement. That keeps the attention on the house style and the sherry-matured character: floral, gently fruity, noticeably spiced and lightly touched by wood.
