A true symbol of Scotland, Fettercairn is the second distillery in the country to be granted a distilling licence in 1824. Founded by Sir Ramsay, Fettercairn is located in the village of the same name at the foot of the Cairngorms massif in north-east Scotland. Local crystal water is used by the Fettercairn distillery as an igredient in the production of whisky, but also to cool the copper to increase condensation in the stills and recover only the finest vapours that escape.
This unique distillation process, installed in the 1950s, greatly influences the style of its Single Malts, which are remarkably pure and elegant. Even today, Fettercairn is the only distillery whose stills are equipped with cooling rings that allow cool water to flow over their necks! It is based on this heritage that Fettercairn returns to the forefront with this Single Malt with a fine and fruity style, where subtlety serves balance.
