Caiarossa 2019 is the flagship wine of Caiarossa, an estate in Riparbella in Tuscany's Val di Cecina. Its official designation is IGT Toscana Rosso, and it is built as a Tuscan blend with Syrah, Cabernet Franc and Merlot at its core, supported by Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, Sangiovese and Grenache.
The wine reflects Caiarossa's patchwork of vineyards around Riparbella, just a few kilometres from the Tyrrhenian Sea. The estate works with biodynamic principles and draws on parcels with very different soils, including clay, gravel, limestone, iron-rich ground, marl, schist, stones and volcanic influences. Each parcel and grape variety is vinified separately, giving the final blend its sense of detail.

Caiarossa 2019 Magnum is a Tuscan red wine in a 1.5-litre bottle, produced in Riparbella near the Tuscan coast. Classified as IGT Toscana Rosso, it is the estate's main wine and reflects Caiarossa's biodynamic approach and parcel-by-parcel work in the vineyard and cellar.
The 2019 blend brings together Syrah, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, Sangiovese and Grenache. Harvesting was done by hand over almost four weeks, with each parcel and grape variety selected according to ripeness and freshness. The components were vinified separately in concrete and wooden tanks, with slow spontaneous fermentations and gentle extraction.
