About TAPATIO

"La Alteña" distilleerderij is opgericht door Don Felipe Camarena Hernández op 7 juli 1937. In 1940 begon de verkoop van tequila onder de merknaam "Tapatío".

In 1990 wordt het merk "El Tesoro de Don Felipe" gelanceerd met tequila's die speciaal voor de internationale markten zijn ontworpen.

Op 7 juli 2007 (07-07-07) bestond het bedrijf 70 jaar en werd een eerbetoon gebracht aan de drie generaties die in deze periode niet alleen een distilleerderij hebben gevormd en versterkt, maar ook een familie die momenteel een icoon van ambachtelijke kwaliteit blijft. Tapatio wil de allerbeste tequilas maken en ze geloven dat dat alleen kan door rigoureus vast te houden aan een ambachtelijk en traditioneel proces.
