For many of us, every day, or at least every week, feels like 'Drink Wine Day'. But on 18 February, we officially celebrate Drink Wine Day. The idea behind it is simple but powerful: honour wine and enjoy all it has to offer. To prepare you for this celebration, we'd like to share some wine tips so you can enjoy that perfect wine experience even more.
Here are some tips for drinking, storing and choosing the right wine:
This is how to choose the right wine
Consider the dish
Consider the dish you are serving when choosing a wine. Try to select wines that go well with the flavours and textures of the food.
Explore and experiment
Explore different grape varieties and wine regions to develop your taste buds and discover new favourites. Only by experimenting can you really discover what you like.
Ask for advice
If you are unsure which wine to choose, don't hesitate to ask for advice from our dedicated team. We are always ready to personally help you with any choice. Also, don't forget to keep an eye on our tastings, events and tastings.
Use our filters
Are you looking for a cheap wine, a specific brand or a wine from a particular region? You can easily find it on our website by entering 'wine' in the search bar at the top and then refine your search further using our filters, such as price, tags (for example: popular wines, our latest bottles), brand, content and country.

Serving temperature
Make sure you serve your wine at the right temperature. White wines are generally best chilled (between 7-13°C), while red wines are often best served at room temperature (between 15-18°C).
Use the right glass
Use wine glasses designed for the specific type of wine you are drinking. Different glasses can help concentrate the aromas and enhance the taste experience.
Let the wine breathe
Some wines, especially older reds, can benefit from aerating before drinking. Leave the wine in the glass for a while to allow oxygen and the flavours to develop.

Enjoy, but drink in moderation...
Because as you can see, things can quickly go wrong with wine too!

As a creative jack-of-all-trades in the marketing world, I also bring that imaginative flair to my drink choices. Whether on a night out, sunny vacation or social gathering with girlfriends, I'm always in my element with a refreshing cocktail in hand. Cocktails have stolen my heart because of the endless possibilities to experiment and explore. My favorite cocktail of the moment is the "Lazy Red Cheeks"! A delicious cocktail using vodka as a base. I love vodka because it mixes perfectly with non-alcoholic drinks. My favorite spirit? Rum!
