Thanks again for your trust!

Update 20/02/2025

Dear customer,

We would like to give you a positive update on our service.

Yesterday we had constructive discussions with our unions. We have reached an agreement on ending the strike and can therefore start our recovery plan. Despite the fact that there is still a real backlog we are clearing, mainly in Wallonia, you will be able to deliver your volumes again from tomorrow, Friday 21/2. Our Collect service and all other services in our network, such as the sorting and distribution of all our consignments (parcels, newspapers, letters, advertising leaflets) will also resume. We are also happy to announce that one of the priorities of our recovery plan is to process returns as soon as possible, while trying to minimise delays.

We are fully aware of the impact the situation of the past few days has had on your business. We thank you for your understanding and patience. While the transformation at bpost is necessary for the future of our company, it is only natural that you expect quality and punctuality from us. We are making every effort to regain our quality levels as soon as possible.

As always, your customers can follow the latest status of their parcel on our Track & Trace and My bpost app and we will also inform there that some delays are still possible.

We would like to thank you for your understanding and patience in these challenging circumstances. Should you have any further questions, we are of course ready to answer them.

Kind regards,

The bpost team

Update 19/02/2025

Dear customer,

We would like to give you a new update on our services.

Today there was further consultation between the unions and our management. After the constructive discussion, a new proposal will be submitted to the base by the unions.

Meanwhile, there are still targeted strike actions in our network, causing strong disruption, especially in the south and to a limited extent in Brussels. Services such as the collection, sorting and distribution of all our shipments (parcels, newspapers, letters, advertising leaflets) continue to be reduced as a result. Nevertheless, we are making every effort to catch up the backlog.

The situation remains uncertain, especially in Wallonia and Brussels. We are unfortunately obliged to ask you not to deliver parcels today 19/2 and tomorrow, Thursday 20/2, until you have been contacted by our internal planning department. However, mail can be redelivered in Flanders and Brussels. Our Collect service for letters and parcels is back in full operation in Flanders and most parts of Brussels; we cannot yet guarantee it in Wallonia. We are constantly monitoring the situation and will let you know when the situation changes.

We will contact you when parcel volumes can again be delivered in phases. This measure is in everyone's interest so that we can catch up effectively and under the best possible conditions. We strive to give everyone equal attention and to help you all to the best of our ability.

We are fully aware of the impact this is having on your business and therefore apologise for the inconvenience. As always, we will inform your customers on our Track & Trace and My bpost app that their parcel may be delivered later due to this strike.

We would like to thank you for your understanding and patience in these challenging circumstances. Should you have any further questions, we are of course ready to answer them.

Kind regards,

The bpost team

Update 18/02/2025

Dear customer,

We are pleased to give you a new update on our services.

Today there is further consultation between the social partners and our management; from bpost we are doing all we can to reach a solution. Meanwhile, there are still targeted strike actions in our network, causing strong disruption, especially in the south and to a limited extent in Brussels. The collection, sorting and distribution of all our shipments (parcels, newspapers, letters, advertising leaflets) is still significantly delayed.

The situation remains uncertain, especially in Wallonia and Brussels. We are unfortunately obliged to ask you not to deliver parcels throughout the country today 18/2. However, letters can again be delivered in Flanders and Brussels.

Update 17/02/2025

Dear customer,

We would like to give you a new update on our services.

On Friday 14 February, there were consultations with our trade unions; an agreement was reached, which was, however, rejected by the supporters in the evening. There were also consultations yesterday, Sunday, but with no positive result. This means that today there are still targeted strike actions in our network, causing strong disruption, especially in the south and in Brussels. The collection, sorting and distribution of all our shipments (parcels, newspapers, letters, advertising leaflets) is significantly delayed. Tomorrow we will sit around the table again with the social partners.

Despite the fact that the blockades at the various sorting centres have been lifted, the situation remains very uncertain, especially in Wallonia and Brussels. Unfortunately, we are obliged to ask you not to deliver any mail or parcels today 17/2 either. We cannot yet give sufficient guarantees that we can provide a quality service. We are constantly monitoring the situation and will let you know when the situation changes.

We will contact you when volumes can again be delivered in phases.

Update 13/02/2025

Dear customer,

We are pleased to give you another update on our services.

We continue to be severely hampered by targeted strike actions in our network. As these are actions within different entities and regions, the actions unfortunately have a national impact on our quality. The collection, sorting and distribution of all our shipments (parcels, newspapers, letters, advertising leaflets) is therefore significantly delayed.

Due to ongoing blockades at various sorting centres, we are unfortunately obliged to ask you not to deliver any mail or parcels tomorrow 14/2 as well. We cannot yet give sufficient guarantees that we can provide a quality service. We are constantly monitoring the situation and will let you know if the situation changes. In addition, the distribution and collect of all shipments in the south of the country has been severely disrupted, but these services have also been impacted in the rest of the country.

We will contact you when volumes can be delivered again in phases. This measure is in everyone's interest so that we can catch up effectively and under the best possible conditions. We strive to give everyone equal attention and to help you all to the best of our ability.

We are fully aware of the impact this has on your business and therefore apologise for the inconvenience.

A new consultation with social partners is scheduled tomorrow, Friday. In the meantime, we are doing our utmost to minimise the impact and will of course keep you informed of further developments.

As always, we will inform your customers on our Track & Trace and My bpost app that their parcel might be delivered later because of this strike.

We would like to thank you for your understanding and patience in these challenging circumstances. Should you have any further questions, we are of course ready to answer them.

Kind regards,

The bpost team

Update 12/02/2025

Dear customer,

We are pleased to provide you with an update on our service.

We are currently experiencing major disruption from targeted strike actions in our network. As these are actions within different entities and regions, the actions unfortunately have a national impact on our quality. As a result, the collection, sorting and distribution of all our products (parcels, newspapers, letters, advertising leaflets) will be significantly delayed.

Due to blockades at various sorting centres, we would like to ask you not to deliver any mail or parcels to us today 12/2 and tomorrow 13/2. We are constantly monitoring the situation and will let you know when the situation changes. In addition, the distribution of all products in the south of the country has been severely disrupted, but for Flanders we are currently continuing to distribute. We would like to draw your attention to the fact that tomorrow's National Strike will have an impact on services across the country.

We will contact you when volumes can again be delivered in phases. This measure is in everyone's interest so that we can catch up effectively and under the best possible conditions. We strive to give everyone equal attention and to help you all to the best of our ability.

We are fully aware of the impact this is having on your business and therefore apologise for the inconvenience. We will be sending out a new communication during the day with a notice that you can place on your website to inform your customers without obligation.

We remain in full dialogue with our unions to address the situation and direct that we be back at the table to seek solutions as soon as possible. However, we are concerned that there will be further disruptions within various entities in our network in the coming days. We are doing our utmost to minimise the impact and will of course keep you informed of further developments.

As always, we will inform your customers on our Track & Trace and My bpost app that their parcel might be delivered later due to this strike.

We would like to thank you for your understanding and patience in these challenging circumstances. Should you have any further questions, we are of course ready to answer them.

Best regards,

The bpost team

Update 11/02/2025

Dear customer,

As promised, we will keep you updated on the impact of the strike in Wallonia on our services.

Due to ongoing strikes in Wallonia, including in the sorting centres of Liege and Charleroi, the collection, sorting and distribution of our products (parcels, newspapers, letters, advertising leaflets) is experiencing serious delays in the south of the country. In Flanders and large parts of Brussels, the service is running without hindrance for the time being.

In addition, the Collect service in the south of the country is currently suspended for as long as the situation remains uncertain.

However, we expect the strike to spread further and also have an impact in Flanders on Thursday. Therefore, we urge you not to deliver any more products in Wallonia as long as the situation remains uncertain, due to insufficient storage capacity.

We remain in dialogue with the social partners and are doing everything possible to normalise the situation as soon as possible. We appreciate your understanding and will keep you further informed of any developments.

Via our Track & Trace and My bpost app, we will inform your customers in the affected regions that their parcel might be delivered later due to these local actions.

The quality of our service remains our absolute priority. We are of course at your disposal for any questions.

Kind regards,

The bpost team

Update 10/02/2025

Dear customer,

We regret to inform you of a number of local strikes in Wallonia, with actions in several areas, including the sorting centres of Liège and Charleroi. As a result, the sorting and distribution of all our products (parcels, newspapers, letters, advertising leaflets) is experiencing serious delays mainly in the South of the country and in Brussels. In Flanders, there is currently no disruption.

We remain in discussion with the social partners. At the same time, we are trying to limit the disruption as much as possible. However, we cannot rule out the possibility that there will also be disruption in the coming days, or that the actions will expand, in light of the national demonstration on Thursday.

Via our Track & Trace and My bpost app, we will inform your customers in the affected regions that their parcel may be delivered later due to these local actions.

The quality of our service remains our absolute priority. We are closely monitoring the situation and will keep you informed of progress.

We are of course at your disposal for any questions and thank you in advance for your understanding in these exceptional circumstances.

Kind regards,

The bpost team

Update 07/02/2025

Dear customer,

Due to the current social unrest in the country, there is a risk of regional actions causing a temporary disruption of our services, which could potentially lead to delays in the delivery of your mail and parcels.

A national demonstration will take place in Belgium on 13 February. We are doing everything possible to minimise the impact on our services, but feel it is important to inform you in advance.

The collection and delivery of your parcels and letters on Thursday may be disrupted, and parcel and letter deliveries may also take slightly longer than usual in the following days if we have to clear any backlogs.

Via our Track & Trace and My bpost app, we will inform your customers that their parcels may be delayed due to this national event.

We are of course at your disposal for any questions and thank you in advance for your understanding in these exceptional circumstances.

Kind regards,

The bpost team
