The time has come, Ardbeg Day 2024 has arrived! During this annual event, as usual, a new, limited Ardbeg release is always presented and this year is no different. Ladies and gentlemen, without further ado, we give you: Ardbeg Spectacular.
About Ardbeg Spectacular
Ardbeg Spectacular is a phenolic phenomenon. For the first time in Ardbeg's history, this whisky has been matured in rare port wine casks and then married to classic bourbon. These exquisite port wine casks are darker and richer in flavour and have given rise to an unusual profile.
- COLOUR: Sunset orange
- AROMA: Curiously perfumed and aromatic, fragrant lavender tumbles into incense candles. Deeper notes of leather and wax alongside a rich almond note. A splash of water reveals soft wisps of wood smoke and damp peat moss. Hints of menthol garland neck over head in rich antique leather.
- TASTE: A syrupy mouthfeel introduces a sparkling array of salty, sweet and savoury flavours. Peat smoke, eucalyptus oil, minty chocolate and toffee mingle with smoked pecans and tar. Subtly in the background, crumble of sweet pear and fudge lurk.
- END: A long and lingering finish of salted caramel and cooling menthol bring this spectacle of flavour to an end.

Want to get your hands on a bottle of Ardbeg Spectacular ? You just might succeed on Ardbeg Day!
On Saturday 1 June 2024, from 1 pm to 4 pm, you can visit our shop in Zolder for the release of this new Ardbeg. Ardbeg itself will also organise some fun activities in our shop, including a Wheel of Darkness. Let all your friends know you are coming and have a great time together in our Drinks Shop!
This new release cannot be booked in advance. There is no point calling or emailing about this, no exceptions will be made! There will also be no additional discounts possible on these bottles.
The edition of this Limited Edition is, as the name suggests, very limited. We therefore expressly ask that everyone plays the game fairly and thus does not come with uncles, aunts, neighbours or second cousins in order to hoard as many bottles as possible and put them on Ebay later. There is a limit of 1 bottle per customer. We are offering the Ardbeg Spectacular while stocks last!
Ardbeg is a fine product with a fine group of collectors, so be sporting yourself and join us in striving to make as many enthusiasts happy as possible.

I've known Broekmans since I graduated in 2006 and thanks to Jan I've come to know the passion for spirits. I dedicate myself every day to the webshop, customer service and all the IT involved. In my spare time, besides whiskey, I can also really enjoy rum, but just as much as a gin tonic or a simple bellini. In the words of Martien Meiland, if there's no alcohol in it, don't call me!
